Apparently I’m Moving…

April 12, 2011 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

On Friday, of last week, my friend mentioned to someone else that I was moving and never to return.  I wasn’t, but for the sake of someone else using me to have fun I just let it go.  Apparently that person took it seriously and started asking everyone if it was true.  The people she asked were shocked too and asked me.  I told them that I wasn’t, but they wanted to keep it going just to have a little fun.  BUT!  The person who wanted to keep it going can’t keep a straight face when she is trying to tell a lie.  I walked in Monday morning asking the person who got pranked if she missed me.  Her response…”Shut up! Don’t talk to me.”  Am i a jerk?…

First Track Meet

4-1-11

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS EVERYBODY!

So, our first track meet was Wednesday, March 30.  I expected people to be fast.  BUT THESE PEOPLE WERE CRAZY FAST!!!  A guy ran a mile in 4 minutes and 30 seconds.  He did that after doing a bunch of sprints and hurdles too!  These guys were cyborgs.  Rosemont had a beautiful track and there were many people there.  We placed on a few events.  None of them were first however.

4×4 relay.  The last event of the day.  I was part of it.  I went second in the race for my team.  If you guys don’t know, that’s where the slower people are.  My teammate handed me the baton perfectly, and there I went, behind everyone else.  There was a guy in back of me for 300 meters.  At the 300 meter mark, my body gave out and the guy I was beating ran pass me.  The only thing that kept me going was my will.  Right before I got the baton to my other teammate, my legs buckled and there I went, straight into the ground.  My teammate had to pick the baton up and catch up to everyone else.  We loss, but despite my fall, our anchor actually caught up with the guy.  Wonderful effort on my teammates.  Great way to end the day right!?!  Not exactly, the day was perfect when we found out that we didn’t have a ride back to school.  Thank you Kennedy High School for letting us “buspool.”

Prepare to be Fascinated

First off, my name is Samuel Vang.  “Prepare to be Fascinated” will be about cool and funny things that can happen inside JCBA.  That means it would be about: class, events, students, teachers, and daily life.  Some of the things will make you laugh, and others, will make you go “COOL!”  Every week will be something different; you just have to tune in to see what it is.

I am currently 16, and my birthday is on May 6.  People might say I’m a sporadic person, meaning I can be quite random.  I have no argument towards it.  My favorite colors are green and black; mostly black.  I enjoy listening to all kinds of music; like to sing but can’t sing.  Playing games is a perfect pastime; just an average gamer.  Procrastination is a virtue for me; I kind of wish studying was.  I am anti-social and very minimal on words.  There isn’t much I can think of to describe myself so I guess I’ll sum this up.

3-10

“The Last Supper.”  For those who don’t know what that is, “The Last Supper” is the famous painting created by Leonardo da Vinci.  The picture depicts Christ himself with his fellow disciples around a table eating.  Accrediting my friend Denie Her, he brought up the topic of the famous painting.  “We should totally make a reenactment of that painting,” he said.  How are we going to do that you might add?  My friend Michael “Jesus” Just is a perfect candidate to be our foundation for the picture.  The reason why he’s called Jesus is because of his luscious long hair that runs down his back.

Here in JCBA, we have an annual potluck a few weeks into school.  It’s a great place to find delicious food and camaraderie.  What a perfect place to have the picture right?  There, in the middle of the table, sits Michael.  Around him would be his fellow comrades.  We would reenact that famous painting and call it, “The Last Potluck.”

3-21

So, some of you may know that there is a song called Friday by Rebecca Black.  I just want to say that I could sing better than that.  Before I heard the lyrics and her voice, the beat was okay.  I was willing to work with it.  Then she started singing.  Her voice, the lyrics, the video was what you would call a “FAIL!”  Nothing could possibly be worse than that song.  You could find the song all over the internet.  I discovered the song on Youtube.  Although it has over 36 million views, all the comments were negative.  They were comments such as: “I want those 3 minutes of my life back, that’s a song?, horrible, and you can’t sing.”  All I’m saying is that I’m jealous that she’s famous for knowing her days of the week.
